Properties on a portlet or layout

If right clicking on a portlet or layout you can choose the alternative Properties. A window with properties will open. Here you can change the margins, settings and decoration settings.

Most of the tabs exists for both portlets and layouts but there are also tabs that only are visible if a portlet or layout is selected.

Margins


Configuration of padding and margins.

Settings


Configuration of size and position. This tab is only visible if a portlet is selected.

Rendering properties


Configuration of size and rendering settings for a layout. This tab is only visible if a layout is selected.

Information (Metadata)


Association of metadata with the selected portlet/layout. This tab is only visible if a special license is installed on the server.

Toolbar


Configuration of the look and feel of the portlet toolbar. This tab is only visible in SiteVision Portal/Enterprise.

Exclude options


Configuration of the behaviour of the portlet is the web site is exported to HTML. This tab is only visible if the license feature HTML-extraction is installed on the server.

Cache


Cache configuration for the selected portlet. This tab is only visible in SiteVision Portal/Enterprise.

Views


On the tab views you can see profiles on the selected layout. This tab is only visible if a layout is selected and custom views is associated with the layout.

Decoration settings


Configuration of background color/image and float control of the portlet/layout.

Borders


Configuration of borders around the selected portlet/layout.
Properties portlet
Permission rights! This dialog is only visible for users that has the "manage web page layout" permission.
