Margins

Here you set the distance for the margins and the padding from the top, bottom, left and right. Since the text is shown dynamically the portlets will move when new content is added. Here you can also decide if you need spacing between the portlets and how large the spacing should be.

Padding

Padding is the space between an objects edge and the content in an object. You can set the padding in pixels/em/percent, to the top, bottom, right and left.

Margins

The margin is the space between two objects, i.e. outside the object. You can set the space in pixels/em/percent, to the top, bottom, right and left.
Margins
OBSERVE! Default is not configured. You can choose unit in the list: pxl/em/percent. When the unit is chosen, the box where to set padding and margin is activated. If clicking on up arrow or down arrow in padding/margin without choosing unit, the default unit is pixels.

OBSERVE! Both padding and margins are added to the total width. If you for instance want a web page to be 800 pixels wide with a 10 pxl margins/padding to the left and right you have to set the width to 780 pxl and margin/padding to the left and right to 10 pxl. This gives a total width of 800 pixels.

A tip for increased accessibility! The web page should be built using relative units such as em or percent so that it is possible to change character sizing in the browser.
