User profiles

Beneath User profiles you define the user profiles for the web site e.g. Managers, Economi department and so on. These can then be used in combination with Skapa anpassad vy. When you have created user profiles you can use these on different web pages (layouts) in order to customize parts of the website to people in the different profiles.

OBSERVE! Never copy profiled portlets! The user profile will be connected with the "original layout".

Add User profile

In order to add a User profile you click the plus sign. A new window will open where you give the profile a name and state what type of criteria the profile should be.

Click the plus sign and there will be a list with five different typese of criterias:

Directory criteria
Attribute criteria
Session criteria
Address criteria
Script criteria

Select one and click OK.

There is also a control flag where you can choose:

Sufficient - OR-requirement where it is enough if one or the other criteria is filled.
Required - AND-requirement where both requirements needs to be filled in order to belong to a profile.

OBSERVE! If you only add one criteria you do not need to consider the control flag since this requirement has to be filled.

Double click in the white box on <Not configured directory criteria> or choose the icon for Properties.

A new window will open, depending on the type of chosen criteria. In this example we choose a directory criteria:

Here you can select a folder or a group in the directory that the profile is valid for. Browse the to the object and click OK.

To add more criterias on a User profile

It is possible to add several criterias to a user profile. In the example aboxe we have a directory criteria for the folder customers. If we also want the userprofile to come from a certain IP range we add an address criteria as well.

You do this by:
1. Click the plus sign to add another criteria.
2. Choose address criteria and type the ip-address range.
3. Set the control flag to Required.
4. Select properties for the first criteria (directory criteria). Set the control flag to required.

In order to fit the user profile "Kunder" you need to be in the directory folder Kunder and come from a certain IP-range.

emove user profile

To remove a user profile, select the profile to remove and click the remove button.

Properties

In order to edit a profile, select the desired profile and choose properties.

Sort

If you would like to sort the profiles, select a name in the list and use the up and down arrow.

OBSERVE! The order of the list is important! If a person belongs to several profiles the only valid profile is the one furthest up in the list.

Permission rights! This function requires the right "Site properties".
