Web Services

Web Services tab allows you to specify IP addresses that are allowed to call SiteVision's Web Services. It is also possible to require authentication for such an address. All Web Services calls from unspecified addresses will be denied.

For now, the XML import is the sole Web Service exposed by SiteVision. If you don't use XML import, you should disable Web Services. If a local XML import is running on the server, you should allow the IP address "127.0.0.1" and decide whether or not this application needs to authenticate itself or not.

To add an IP address that are allowed to call Web Services - click on the plus button. A new window will be opened:

Specify the IP address that are allowed to call Web Services and if calls from that address needs to be authenticated or not. Addresses that needs to be authenticated are displayed in the list of addresses with a gray lock icon.

SiteVision editions! This functionality is only available in SiteVision Portal and SiteVision Enterprise.
