News listing using an image from Image album
Question: How can I do news listings with images when my articles uses the Image album portlet instead of the Image portlet?
To do advanced custom rendering of the items in a news listing you need to add a Script element to the 'content items' of your News portlet. With a Script element you can basically render whatever you want.
You need to extract one of the images that the Image album portlet uses. The images is found via the 'folder' property of the Image album. Rendering an image would typically be implemented with an ImageRenderer of the SiteVision Public API. Rendering a linked image would typically be implemented with an ImageLinkRenderer.
There are of course many ways to implement 'use image from Image album in news listing' functionality, but a third-party developer has published an example (swedish only).
