Select the text that is to become the link. Click the icon and the following window will appear where you select type of link and which URL the link should go to: Select link type to the left.
In SiteVision the creation of links is always done in the same way no matter where the link is created in the system (from a text portlet or an image portlet etc.). You can also right click and choose create link or use the quick key CTRL+L.
Five different types of links can be created in SiteVision:
Internal web page
If you want to link to a page created within the own web site. The structure of the site is shown and you select the web page to link to and click OK.
External web page
If you want to link to another web site. If you do not type "http://" before the address the system will handle this and set this correct. If the complete address is written for example in the text portlet www.senselogic.se and then highlighted without any additional spaces, the system understands it is an external link and automatically choose type of link and fill out the address in the link portlet.
Is used for creating links to a file or a document. The file or the document can be located in the file browser or be uploaded at the time of creation.
Is used if you want to create a link to an e-mail address. The address is created manually. When the user clicks on the link the predefined e-mail program, that the user has installed, will open and the e-mail address is set in the field "To". If you type the complete address in the text portlet for example firstname.lastname@example.org and then highlight without any additional spaces, the system understands it is an email link and automatically choose type of link and fill out the address in the link portlet.
Is used when you want to link to an image. The picture can be located in the image archive or be uploaded at the time of creation.
In order to edit a link, place the cursor somewhere on the link. The link symbol will show another icon:
Click on the link symbol to change address, type, description or if the link should be opened in a new window.
