News menu

The news menu is used to show news articles by year and month. It creates a link list with links to the months where articles have been created. Months are clickable links that display the articles from the month that you click.

The news menu is always used together with the News module. A prerequisite for this to work is that the Connect with news menu box is ticked in the News module (see the Other tab under News).

The News menu only works with the News module, not together with the event calendar or blog.

There is also no point in using the news menu if you are viewing a news module that has a filter - the news menu does not detect this filter but shows all the articles in that archive, which may be misleading.
