Technical information regarding the language setting:

The selected language will automatically be written in two places in the underlying HTML code. It is written in lang-attribute/attributes in the html elements and in the content attribute of meta element named "DC.Language". If the code standard for example is "XHTML 1.0 Transitional" and the language is Swedish (Sweden) the html code looks as follows:

<!DOCTYPE ... >
<html xmlns="" xml:lang="sv" lang="sv">
<meta name="DC.Language" scheme="RFC1766" content="sv" />

Inherit settings

Will inherit language settings from above.

Change and propagate settings

With this option you stop the current inheritance and the pages below the current one will inherit the new settings. Select language in the dropdown list.

Local settings independent of inheritance

This setting is used if you would like to change the language on the current page but the pages below should continue to have the old inheritance.
