Panel Email

When logged in as system user in SiteVision, you can access the settings for the server item. You can then, among other things, create new websites, import websites via SVA files, add directory services etc.

In the Integration category you will find the E-mail panel where you can, among other things, specify server manager and make settings for the e-mail server. Here you will also find a smart function to test that mail leaves SiteVision as it should.

Email on server

Server manager

If a system-critical issue occurs, SiteVision sends system messages to the server manager by e-mail . SiteVision sends mail to the server manager if:

  • it is not possible to make a backup.
  • the replication factor does not correspond to the number of nodes in the cluster.
  • the database schedule is incorrect.
  • there is insufficient disk space.
  • one or more licenses have expired.

E-mail server settings

Server address, Username and Password

Server address is the address that the e-mail server (SMTP server) responds to. The e-mail server must allow relaying. Enter the username and password of the e-mail server to give SiteVision access to send e-mail.

Sender e-mail address

Return address is the fallback address used by SiteVision when users send automatic mail via, for example, a subscription or a form. If the user has not set the return address in the specific module, the fallback address is used instead.

Send message

To test that the mail server and the connection to SiteVision are working correctly, click on Send message. A pop-up box appears where you fill in your e-mail address. You can also specify an optional subject and content. Click on Send to send the test message.

Other

Maximum e-mail size (specified in MB)

Here you can set a maximum e-mail size. This depends on what your mail server is capable of, so this decision should be taken together with your system administrator

You will not access the setting if the site is located in SiteVision Cloud.

You need to log in with the system user to access this feature.
