Allow external data sources

You can tick this box if you want to allow external sources. Via API, it is now possible to add, update and delete content in Knowledge Bases. This means that you can index information from, for example, document management systems (such as SharePoint or Dropbox), case management systems (such as Zendesk or Jira) and product databases.

General

Get information about the knowledge base

If you go in and change an existing knowledge base, there is an additional button for retrieving information about the knowledge base. This allows you to see indexed objects, both internal (from the website) and external (from the API), and when they are updated.

This feature requires that you have an additional license for Assistant and the permissions Manage Website Settings and Manage AI.
