A breakpoint (media queries) means a limitation of when to use certain CSS. Currently, this can be limited based on the browser's minimum and maximum width. It is therefore what makes it possible to customise the appearance depending on the screen resolution of the visitor.

You can assign different settings for breakpoints:

  • Grids - to stack columns in a particular grid.
  • Layouts/modules - to show/hide things. For example, to hide a right column in a specific resolution.
  • Custom CSS - to affect the appearance of different things. For example, to use a background colour or other font for a specific resolution.
