Responsive web

Responsive web means that the appearance of the site website is adjusted depending on the visitor's screen resolution. This means that the same website may look different depending on whether it is visited using a computer, tablet or mobile phone.

The images below show a website built with the responsive technology where a computer, a tablet and a mobile phone were used to show the same page.

Relative values

To build a responsive website, it is important to use relative values, that is, percentage instead of fixed pixels.

There are two grid types that are based on relative values; Fluid grid and Fixed fluid grid. The total width of the grid is set in pixels and indicates a maximum width. This means that if the browser window is smaller than the maximum width, the templates will be reduced to the size of the window. The column sizes and spacing between them are then converted to percentages instead of pixels.
