The Advanced tab

Dark mode

In Sitevision, it is possible to set the website or intranet to follow the user's system settings for Dark mode. Under the "Advanced" tab, you can activate "Dark mode" by checking the "Primary dark theme" checkbox. If the user visiting your site has this setting enabled in their system settings, the website will now also listen to the setting and display your dark theme. You can also choose to set up different dark themes depending on which theme you are using.

You need to set a theme for the website for the primary dark theme to work. That is, set a theme for the entire website and then create a new theme with dark colors that will be your dark theme. It often takes careful consideration to create a good dark theme, and sometimes they may need to be supplemented with CSS. One tip is to work with a Sitevision partner.

Export and import themes

You can move your created themes between websites or intranets. By clicking on the "Export (theme name)" button, a JSON file will be saved with all settings and selections.

This JSON file can then be imported into another theme, either on the same website or on a new one. When importing the theme into an existing theme, all old settings will be overwritten by the new theme.

It is also possible to "clone" an existing theme and copy values from the selected theme. To reset any changes that have been made, you can check the box "Reset other values," which will clear the fields. You can also overwrite the value with Envision standard.
