Web application

WebApps is a technology for developing SiteVision modules. WebApps are developed outside SiteVision in any code editor. WebApps are built with isomorphic JavaScript and use influences from other well-known JavaScript frameworks. The purpose of WebApps is to offer a smooth development process based on modern web technologies with a short transition time.

The development process is documented on SiteVision's Developer Web, developer.sitevision.se External link, opens in new window.. Development is carried out using server-side JavaScript, client-side JavaScript, HTML, and CSS. Developers have access to SiteVision's public APIs.

How to add a WebApp in Sitevision

Please refer to the View Marketplace page to learn how to add new modules and features from our marketplace.

If you have received an add-on directly from a partner, or if you have developed one yourself, you can add it as follows:

1. Go to the Add-ons view on your website.

2. In the Add-ons view, click Import in the sidebar to select your WebApp. A WebApp is always packaged as a .zip file.

3. A box with information about your WebApp will appear during import. The information is taken from the WebApp's manifest file. Here you can also add the name of the WebApp (your new add-on module) and the category of modules it should belong to in the module selector.

Importera WebApp

4. När WebAppen är tillagd visas den under rubriken Versioner . Du kan ha flera versioner av din WebApp, men bara en som är aktiv. Du ser även ifall WebAppen är signerad av Sitevision om den har en bock i kolumnen Signerad.

This feature requires that you have the "Manage Add-ons" permission.
