Element
Elements are an outdated technology that will be phased out in the future. We recommend that you build a web app or RESTApp instead of using elements.
Here you can add add-ons that you have received from a partner or similar.
In the add-ons view, you will see a list of the add-on modules available on the website. Under each module, there is an active element used by the module.
The add-ons (modules) work in the same way as other modules in Sitevision; they are available in the module selector for users who are authorized to use them.

Click the Import button on the left to import an add-on (a -.sve file). Alternatively, you can drag and drop the sve file into the white area.
This opens a new view, Import elements, where you as administrator can choose whether you want to create a new module that will use the element or whether you want to add the elements to an existing module (see Maintaining a module). The administrator can also choose a name for the add-on and specify in which module category it should be displayed in the module selector. You can also make settings regarding the configuration.
When naming a new module, you should make sure that you do not use the same name as existing modules. Visually, there is no difference between an add-on module and a standard module.
Namnet visas under rubriken "Utgivare". Om utgivarens namn inte innehåller "[reg id: xyz]" är det inte tillåtet att importera elementet.
Om elementet är framtaget för att användas inom den egna organisationen går det bra att importera även om utgivaren inte innehåller "[reg id: xyz]".
Once you have imported an extension, it will become active if there is only one version of the extension. The editor can then select the extension in the module selector.
Multiple versions of add-ons
If you receive an updated version of your add-on, import the add-on here. You will then be asked whether this is a new module or whether it should be added to an existing module. Select Add to module and select the existing one.

You can then go to a page that uses this module and preview the new version. Go online to the page. An additional icon will appear in the preview menu:

If you have clicked on the icon, a small dot menu will appear in the upper right corner of that module. There you can switch between different versions.

If you are satisfied with the new version, you can go back to Add-ons and activate the new version. Select the latest version. Right-click and select Activate. All versions of this module on the website will then be replaced with this version.

This feature requires that you have the " Manage Add-ons" permission.
