Add color - General
A new one appears where you can first enter editorial information and then add color.
Editorial information
Name
Enter the working name for the colour displayed in SiteVision.
Description
Here you can add an extra description for the colour. This text will appear as alternative text when you hover your mouse cursor over this colour in the modules.
Colour
Select a Colour by entering HEX code or RGB value.
HEX
Enter HEX code. When you enter your colour code hexadecimal, use the numbers 0 through 9 in their usual meanings, as well as the letters A to F as digits for numbers 10 to 15. Colour codes in HTML are indicated by six digits. The first two numbers are the amount of red, numbers three to four are the amount of green, and numbers five to six are the amount of blue. Example:
- #009400 is a green colour
Colour picker
You can also click on the square colour to see a colour palette where you can click with the mouse to get the colour you want. To get the right tone, you can drag the colour column to the right of the colour palette. At the far right is an opacity bar. The current colour appears in the square box. It also shows the HEX value of the current colour. When you have found the right colour, click outside the palette box.
RGB
Enter different values for red, green and blue. Enter numbers or use the Up or Down arrows. Example:
- [255 Red 0 Green 0 Blue] is a red colour.
- [255 Red 255 Green 255 Blue] is a white colour.
Opacity
Enter the opacity, i.e. transparency. The parameter is specified as a value between 0 and 1 where 0.5 is 50% opacity.
Permissions
Here you can control who has access permission to use certain colours. Select the colour to be permission controlled and click on the Permissions button. This will display all the modules and roles that are set up on the website. Unclick the modules/roles that you do not want the colour to be used in.
