Under the Search results view, set how the search results are displayed.

Header hit

Show hit numbering

Tick this box if the search result should be displayed with numbered hits.

Get value from

Here you can decide whether the header hit should get the value from the Title field or the Name field.

Content hit

Show search hits extract

Tick this box if you want to show hit extracts, i.e. the text that appears under the heading of the search results. What is shown here is retrieved from the search index. In search listings, only the title is usually seen.

If you tick this box, you select the style sheet of the hit extract and the number of characters to display in the hit extract. Default is 250 characters.

Show time and size

To show the time and size under each hit, tick this box and select the style sheet that you want to display.

Show path

To show the path under each hit, tick this box and select the style sheet that you want to display.

Error messages

Show error messages

To show error messages, tick this box and select the style sheet for this text. If you do not get any hits from your search, an error message and search tip appear. Otherwise, nothing appears.
