Permissions - Show

One of the many advantages of SiteVision is the ability to permission control content and parts of the editor. Permissions are assigned to a user by using roles. A role consists of a number of rights. Here you can find out about the different rights under the View category.

Show

The rights under theView category controls the menu for the navigator, that is, which structures in the editor the user will be able to access. The rights do not mean that users are allowed to create items. This requires rights from the Create category.

Show pages

The Show pages right gives the user access to the page structure of the website. This right shows the Browse button in the sidebar.

The occasional user often manage without the Show Pages right, as it simplifies editing mode.

Show templates

The Show templates right gives the user access to the template structure of the website. To view the template structure, the user also needs to have the Show pages right.

Show decoration templates

The right to Show decoration templates allows the user access to the decoration templates. To view the decoration templates, the user also needs to have the Show pages right.

Show file archive

The right to Show file archive allows users to view the central file archive. To view the file archive, the user also needs to have the Show pages right.

Show image archive

Allows the user to view the entire image archive. The image archive can be found via the menu at the top.

The rights to add images and files to image and file archives work in the same way as for pages. Users with the Write right on the image and/or file folder (in the image/files archives) can add images and files.
