Add metadata field

Metadata is information about the page you are on. This can range from information about who created the page and when, to who is responsible for the page and links associated with the page. When adding a new metadata field, you need to make settings for it. The settings you should make depend on how the metadata value will be used and the metadata type you selected.

Follow these steps

1. Click the Add metadata field button. A dialogue box opens.

Add metadata

The settings for the metadata field are made in several steps.

  1. The first tab, Common, contains settings for editorial information and metadata type.
  2. Under the second tab, set any permissions for the metadata field.
  3. On the last tab, you can make advanced settings concerning, for example, inheritance and the search index.
