Group information
The Group Information module is used on group pages to show what type of group it is. It is also possible to set in the module whether you want to show the number of members and whether you should be able to click to get a view of the group members.

Group type
Group administrators can change the group type in the Group Settings module.
- Open group - all users can join the group which is visible to all website visitors.
- Moderated group - only group administrators can add group members. This is also an open group - if you are not in the group, you can still follow the group and access all the material with the only difference that you cannot comment and discuss.
- Closed group - only group administrators can add group members. Information in the group is only visible to group members.
The permission settings on a group page apply before the group type. A group page belonging to a closed group that is set as public can be viewed by all visitors. Individual users who are added and assigned to a role on the page will see the content without being a member of the group.
