Send direct message
The Send Direct Messages module is used to send a direct message to someone on their profile page.
Add the module to the profile page. To start a conversation with a user, go to the user's profile page and click on the Direct Message button.
You use the Send Direct Message module together with the Messages module which is placed as a landing page.

Open in new window
Check Open in new window if you want unread messages to open in a new window. Otherwise they will open in a new tab.
Appearance
Variant
Here you can choose one of the following:
- Outline button
- Link button
- Text link
- Button
Color
This option is only available for Like. You can select the following under color, if you selected Outline button or Button:
- Default - takes the Default Background Colorfrom Element Colors in the theme
- Profile Color - takes Profile Color from Theme
- Primary - takes Primary color from Block colors in theme
- Secondary - takes Secondary color from Block colors in theme
Button size
You can choose the following button sizes:
- Large
- Normal
- Small
Show assistive text for button
If you want to show a caption for the button, check this box. The default text is "New message".
