Files

The Files module is used on group pages to display files that are in the group. Files are sorted by modification date, which means that files that have been recently modified or added will be at the top.

The number of visible files is controlled by a setting where the default is 5. At the bottom there is a link, "Show file archive" which leads to a page where the All files module is used to show all files in the group.

Uploading files

For members of the group, an icon will also appear at the top left to upload new files. You can also drag and drop files onto the Files module. This way you can upload several files at the same time.

If successful, a confirmation will appear at the bottom left.

If something goes less well, a window appears in the center of the screen:

Download file

To the right of a file in the list is a "Download" link to get the file. Clicking on the file name will display more detailed information about the file on a page with the All Files module.

The "Download" link works differently depending on who the user is.

• Visitors - The fixed version if available, otherwise the latest uploaded version.
• Group members - The latest uploaded version.

Search all files

At the top of the module there is an input field where keywords can be entered to search all files in the group. The search is done both on file names and on the content of the documents. If there are characters in the search field, the module will only show the search results.
